HFC-152a as the alternative refrigerant.
Author(s) : HILL W. R.
Summary
In this presentation, General Motors exposes how or why it chose R152a as a refrigerant for the air-conditioning system of its vehicles. A comparison is made with R134a, showing improved performances. The GWP of R152a is lower that that of R134a. There is a reduction of the refrigerant load and also of the leaks. On the technological side, the use of R152a does not involve modifications compared with R134a. The risk analysis is favourable.
