HIGH-EFFICIENCY REGENERATIVE ZEOLITE HEAT PUMP.

Summary

THE SOLID-GAS ZEOLITE ADSORPTION SYSTEM UTILIZES THE EXTREMELY OPEN FRAME OF THE ZEOLITE CRYSTAL STRUCTURE AND THE RESULTING ADSORPTION OF VERY LARGE QUANTITIES OF MOST POLAR GASES. THE INTERACTION OF THE DIPOLE OR QUADRUPOLE MOMENT OF THE GAS MOLECULE WITH THE INTERNAL CRYSTAL FIELD OF THE ZEOLITE FRAME IS VERYSTRONG AND EXTREMELY NONLINEAR, THEREBY PROVIDING THIS FAMILY OF MATERIALS WITH UNIQUE ADSORPTION PROPERTIES THAT PERMIT EXTREMELY HIGH EFFICIENCIES. COMBINING THE ZEOLITE TECHNOLOGY WITH THE PRINCIPLE OF ENERGY REGENERATION RESULTS IN ASINGLE-EFFECT SYSTEM WITH SEASONAL COOLING COPS OF 1.2 AND HEATING COPS ABOVE 1.8.
