THIS STUDY MAKES USE OF A DEFINITE DIFFERENCE PROGRAM FOR CALCULATING BRINE TEMPERATURE IN DUCTS AND IN THE SOIL. THE VARIABLES WHICH ARE INFLUENCING THE BRINE TEMPERATURE ARE THE HEAT (OR COLD) DEMAND, THE AIR TEMPERATURE, THE LAYER OF SNOW, THE THERMAL PARAMETERS OF THE SOIL, THE SPACING OF THE DUCTS AND THEIR DEPTH.
