Summary
The total monthly residential energy consumptions with and without a heat pump are calculated. A heat pump for a domestic installation is selected and the cost is determined. Based on the energy savings and the cost of the heat pump, the payback period and internal rate of return of the heat pump are determined for various locations in South Africa.
