Summary
The various aspects of successful poultry management are detailed and discussed with particular emphasis on maintenance of the poultry house-fans, filters, evaporative cooling systems, ventilation, water supply and feed formulation. Bird behaviour is important, overcrowding should be avoided and both cool drinking water and an adequate air velocity, up to 1.5 metres/sec. are essential. G.R.S.
