This article describes plants implemented by Solvay Fluor und Derivate GmbH to recycle HFCs and HCFCs. Two processes are involved: a primary process, whereby HFCs and HCFCs are purified in order to be used again, and a secondary process, patented by Solvay, based on high-temperature cracking.
