Summary
It is necessary to reduce losses and deterioration (20% of shipments) in floriculture products during transport and distribution. Apart from improvements in temperature and phytosanitary treatment, packaging could contribute to that. All aspects of this problem are examined, and appropriate solutions are proposed for each particular case. Y.G.
