HTB2/Becon: A building energy prediction model for air-conditioned commercial buildings.

Summary

This paper describes the key features of two linked computer programs, a building heat
transfer simulation program HTB2 and an air-conditioning system simulation program
BECON. The two programs are used as the computing tool in the recently launched Hong
Kong Building Environmental Assessment Method (HK-BEAM) to assess the electricity
consumption for air-conditioning in high-rise buildings.
