Summary
Ductwork tightness is an important element of HVAC air systems and whole structures. Tightness testing is very rarely work in this region and, mainly, in the high pressure system. Several countries regulate this matter through legislation, but all of them are based on Eurovent guidelines 2-2. The paper analyzes the need and method of testing according to the aforementioned guidelines. Also, there are other recommendations which complement the aforementioned regulations. Considering the importance of the HVAC system, low-pressure testing on the ductwork tightness is also recommended.
