Physical model of an air-conditioned space for control analysis.

Author(s) : KASAHARA M., KUZUU Y., MATSUBA T., et al.

Summary

Successful design of control systems in air conditioning depends mainly on a mathematical model derived by control engineers to achieve accurate control performance. The complexity of an HVAC system, with distributed parameters, interactions, and multi-variables, makes it extremely difficult to obtain an exact mathematical model to improve control quality. The paper describes a procedure for deriving a dynamic model of an air-conditioned room (space) by applying physical laws to it.
