Summary

Carbon dioxide (R 744) is a refrigerant with a minimal influence on natural environment. Because of that, refrigerating systems working with this fluid are more and more popular. But R 744 has his disadvantages as well. The main ones are relatively low critical temperature and high critical pressure which locate the economically grounded use of R 744 in rather low temperatures range. Since that combination of a sorption system with low temperature compression system with R 744 in one cascade is possible. In the paper a hybrid two-stage cascade system with high temperature absorption or adsorption stage and low temperature R 744 compression stage is theoretically analyzed.
