Summary

THE STUDY TACKLED THE ISSUE FROM DIFFERENT ASPECTS. IT TOOK INTO CONSIDERATION THE POSSIBLE HAZARDS OF HAVING CONTAMINATED FOOD. FACTORS THAT HINDER THE DISSEMINATION OF FOOD AWARENESS SUCH AS ECONOMIC, CULTURAL, AND SOCIAL FACTORS, LEGISLATIVE AND TECHNOLOGICAL EFFECTS ARE ALSO PROVIDED. ENVIRONMENTAL AND ECOLOGICAL EFFECTS ON THE SHELF LIFE OF FOODSTUFFS AND ROLE OF THE RELEVANT STANDARDS AND THAT OF THE ARAB STANDARDIZATION AND METROLOGY ORGANIZATION HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED.
