IMPORTANT PROBLEMS ON INDUSTRIAL FREEZE-DRYERS: MAINLY ON THE VAPOUR REMOVING PERFORMANCE AND ITS CONTROL.

Author(s) : KOBAYASHI M.

Summary

MOST OF INDUSTRIAL FREEZE-DRYERS OF LATE ARE EQUIPPED WITH A CONTROLLER THAT CAN PREDETERMINE THE SHELF TEMPERATURE AND THE DRYING CHAMBER PRESSURE. WITHOUT A CLEAR MENTION OF THE PERFORMANCE, THE USER CANNOT DETERMINE WHETHER HIS PROGRAM IS ACCEPTABLE OR NOT. IN THIS PAPER, THE AUTHOR ANALYZES THE EFFECTS OF THE VAPOR REMOVING SYSTEM DESIGN, AND CONCLUDES THAT TO SPECIFY AND GUARANTEE THE BASIC PERFORMANCE OF THE EQUIPMENT, IT IS NECESSARY: 1) TO CONTROL THE CONDENSER TEMPERATURE ACCURATELY AND ENHANCE THE RELIABILITY OF THE REFRIGERATING SYSTEM ; 2) MAKE THE VACUUM CONTROL BY MEANS OF THE CONDENSER TEMPERATURE CONTROL AND THROTTLING OF THE VAPOR FLOW TO THE CONDENSER AND 3) ESTABLISH THE STANDARDS OF DESIGNING THE CONDENSER GEOMETRY.
