Author(s) : HIRATA T., FUJIWARA K.
Summary
The purpose of the study is to clarify the problems to be solved when the hydrocarbon refrigerant of carbon dioxide as an alternative to HFC-134a, which is increasingly recognized as a global warming gas, is used for mobile air conditioners, and to provide materials for use in future discussions between interested parties and the industry. Advantages and drawbacks of propane and CO2 are presented as well as different solutions to be considered. Cooperation of the whole industry will be required.
