Summary

Short-term in vitro preservation of samples is aimed at storing plant tissue which is not required for propagation one year, but for fulfilling future orders or ensuring in vitro production throughout the year of a seasonal plant such as the rhododendron. The results put forward are for propagating and rooting stages. Different preservation conditions are tested and a storage method is proposed for the two in vitro stages.
