Summary

THE FROSTING PROCESS ON EXTENDED SURFACES DURING AIR COOLING IS STUDIED. THE AUTHORS HAVE DETERMINED THE VARIATIONS OF THE RATE OF THE INCREASE IN THE MASS OF THE FROST LAYER, AS A FUNCTION OF AIR PARAMETERS AND THE SURFACE TEMPERATURE. THE VARIATION IN FROST THICKNESS ALONG THE AIR COOLER HAS BEEN DETERMINED. EQUATIONS WERE OBTAINED, WHICH CAN BE EASILY APPLIED, AND DIAGRAMS WERE ALSO DEVELOPED, WHICH MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE VALUES. C.C.
