Summary

BASING ON THE WEARING RESISTANCE OF CONVENTIONAL AND NEW MATERIALS IN THE JUNCTIONS OF HERMETIC PISTON COMPRESSORS, THE AUTHORS SHOW THE POSSIBLE USE OF ANTIFRICTION SELF-LUBRICATING MATERIALS, ZGR1, 5D2, 5K0,4, IN SLIDE BEARINGS, REDUCING WEAR BY NEARLY HALF IN PISTON-CYLINDER JUNCTIONS AND ALMOST EXCLUDING IT IN OTHER FRICTION COUPLE JUNCTIONS. THE EFFECT OF THE WEAR RESISTANCE OF FRICTION COUPLES ON COMPRESSOR CAPACITY WAS EVALUATED, CONSIDERING THE AVERAGE OPERATING TIME BETWEEN TWO SUCCESSIVE DEFECTS, ACCORDING TO TEMPERATURE RANGE AND REFRIGERATING CAPACITY PARAMETERS.
