Indoor air quality: multiple chemical sensitivity.

Summary

Poor indoor air quality is often considered as an undesirable but sustainable condition. Evidence shows that this is far from the truth, and that a high proportion of the world population is subjected to excessive levels of atmospheric pollution. The worst sources are industrial chemicals and wastes and the accumulation of toxic gases, mainly formaldehyde, in poorly ventilated buildings. This has become a major problem in parts of the USA. Children are at a higher risk, since they breath more air by percentage body weight. Until the use of poisonous materials is limited, the palliative is more fresh air. A.R.T.
