Indoor airflow, air quality and energy consumption of buildings.

Author(s) : CHEN Q.

Type of monograph: Thesis

Summary

The research described in this thesis, presented for the degree of Doctor, has been performed by numerical simulation as well as experiments, which were carried out in a full-scale climate room with different air-supply systems, heat gains from heated venetian blinds and ventilation rates. Extract of contents: introduction; indoor air movement modelling; experimental setup; computations and validations of indoor airflow, heat transfer and air quality; air-conditioning load modelling; computations and validations of air-conditioning load and room air temperature; predictions of building energy consumption.
