Summary

The paper focuses on the disturbance due to a conductor motion. It is pointed out that minimum quench energy is not significantly dependent on the copper-to-superconductor ratio and that it is difficult to explain the experimental results on training characteristics of SSC conductors with copper-to-superconductor ratios of 1.2 and 1.5 in terms of the dependence of minimum quench energy on the copper-to-superconductor ratio. In the paper, experimental results for SSC conductors are investigated by estimating the movable length of the conductor.
