Summary

This article is the Spanish translation of an article presented at the IIR conference in Karlsruhe, Germany (see the Bulletin of the IIR, reference 2009-1693). External and internal structures of attic spaces are often made from lightweight materials. Low thermal storage capacity is well-known property of lightweight materials and the thermal stability of indoor environment is serious problem. There is a risk of overheating of indoor spaces especially in summer season. The authors have built two attic rooms for experimental measurements for the investigation of the influence of phase change materials (PCM) on the internal environment. The rooms have the same floor area, volume of internal space and composition of envelopes. They measured the temperature of air and surfaces in experimental and referential attic room. One room had incorporated special aluminium panels with phase change materials with melting point between 22 and 28°C. The paper is focused on the results from measurement. The phase change materials can improve thermal stability in summer season as well as in winter season and save the energy for heating.
