Summary
With the introduction of new and pollution free refrigerants (e.g. R410A, CO2), the constructional request increase, since on the high pressure side pressures over 25 bars is necessary. The necessary modifications at the refrigeration compressors of the reciprocating piston design are described for adjustment to 40 bars as well as the development of the newest version of series compressors with CO2 for bus air conditioning for pressures up to 150 bars.
