Summary

THE PROCESS OF WATER VAPOUR CONDENSATION WITH ADDITION OF SURFACE-ACTIVE AGENTS,UNDER THE OPERATING CONDITIONS OF A CONDENSER OF A WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING MACHINE, WAS STUDIED. THE RESULTS OF THE EXPERIMENTS REVEALED THAT THE ADDITION OF SURFACE-ACTIVE AGENTS IN THE WATER VAPOUR AT A CONCENTRATION BETWEEN 0.007 AND 0.1% LEADS TO A DISTURBANCE IN THE FILM CONDENSATION STATE. FOR THE HEAT FLUX OF 4 TO 7 KILOWATTS/M2, THE SURFACE EXCHANGE COEFFICIENT AT THE CONDENSATE SIDE INCREASES BY 1.6 TO 2.4 TIMES. UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF THE EXPERIMENT, A CONCENTRATION OF SURFACE-ACTIVE AGENTS OF 0.01 TO 0.03% IS THE OPTIMAL CONCENTRATION.
