INFLUENCE OF THE GROUND ON THERMAL BEHAVIOUR OF BUILDINGS.

Author(s) : ACHARD G., SAUCE G., ROUX J. J.

Summary

A STUDY OF THE THERMAL COUPLING OF A SLAB-ON-GRADE FLOOR AND THE GROUND IS PRESENTED. AN ANALYTICAL METHOD IS USED TO SOLVE THE STEADY-STATE REGIME. THEN, FROM SOME CHARACTERISTIC RESULTS, THE AUTHORS PROPOSE A TRANSIENT SOLUTION WITH AN HARMONIC AND IMPULSION TRANSFER METHOD. FINALLY THIS PARTICULAR TREATMENT HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY INTRODUCED INTO A MORE GENERAL SIMULATION CODE OF THE THERMAL BEHAVIOUR OF BUILDINGS. THE RESULTS OBTAINED SHOW THE INFLUENCES OF THE GROUND ON ENERGY NEEDS AND THERMAL COMFORT OF A HOUSE FOR 2 TYPICAL FRENCH CLIMATES, THE REFERENCE CASE IS THE SAME HOUSE BUT IN A CRAWL SPACE CONFIGURATION.
