Influence of vane slot back-pressure on the characteristic of vane motion in rotary vane compressor.

Author(s) : GUO B., LI L., HU J., SHU P.

Summary

The rotor and cylinder are mounted concentrically in this new type of compressor so that it can be used to compress gas on both sides of its sealed arc. Alternatively one side is used as a compressor and the other is used as an expander. The authors designed a new outline of the inner cylinder wall and developed a dynamic computation program for general use. The results of analysis shows that vane slot back pressure is one of the most important design parameters.
