Summary
The thermal behaviour of air condensers is subjected to seasonal dry air temperature variations, in particular in summer. These variations lead to high condensation temperatures and high energy consumption. This study performed by Cemagref and LEMTA focuses on mist-cooling the air before the condenser stage in order to achieve temperatures closer to the wet bulb temperature. The initial experimental results obtained using this method are very encouraging.
