Summary
After the introduction of transcritical systems with CO2 as the refrigerant in European supermarkets almost five years ago, a number of Dutch supermarkets will be equipped with similar systems. In comparison with the first generation, a number of technical improvements have been integrated in these systems, as a result of which the energy efficiency is now competitive with the existing HFC booster concept.
