Investigation of design options for improving the energy efficiency of conventionally designed refrigerator-freezers.
Author(s) : SAND J. R., VINEYARD E. A., BOHMAN R. H.
Summary
Several design options for improving the energy efficiency of conventionally designed, domestic refrigerator-freezers were incorporated into two 1990 production refrigerator-freezer cabinets and refrigeration systems. A computer model was used to evaluate the daily energy use impacts for each modification, and modelled versus experimental results are compared.
