Summary

Commercial refrigeration systems in supermarket are intensive users of energy, and there is enormous potential to improve this energy system. CO2 is received as an alternative refrigerant for its favourable properties. The booster solution had been considered at two temperature level systems, with an auxiliary compressor to enhance system’s performance. The effects of different economizers in a CO2transcritical booster supermarket refrigeration system was studied with mathematical modeling. The systems with different economizers were analyzed and the comparison between them also was made. A promotion in COP 5% with liquid economizer was predicted, and the energy consumption of the whole system decreased generally. The influence was negative when it came to gas-liquid economizer. The work consumed by compressors and the heat released by gas coolers in systems with different economizers were also presented.
