INVESTIGATION OF EVAPORATIVE COOLER BY NUMERICAL MATHEMATICAL MODEL.

Author(s) : RENAR J., GASPERSIC B.

Summary

A MATHEMATICAL MODEL WAS DEVELOPED FOR THE SIMULATION OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN AN EVAPORATIVE COOLER. THE COMPARISON BETWEEN THE THERMAL FLOWS CALCULATED ON THE SIDE OF THE FLUID TO BE COOLED AND ON THE AIR SIDE AND MEASURED VALUES GAVE SATISFACTORY RESULTS. THE AUTHORS DID NOT CONSIDER THE SIMPLIFICATION VALID FOR AN EVAPORATIVE COOLER OPERATING UNDER STATIONARY CONDITIONS. BY MEANS OF THIS MODEL HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER CAN BE CALCULATED OR THE UNIT CAN BE DIMENSIONED IN THE CASE OF MAXIMUM LOADS.
