The heat transfer simulation in the evaporative condenser.

Author(s) : WENG J. P., ZHANG X. S.

Summary

The heat transfer in the evaporative condenser is complex. For the pipe group in the condenser, the inlet air velocity, the relative humidity and the volume of the spray water are important factors to influent the heat transfer. This article simulates the process of the heat transfer outside the pipe by the mixture model in the software fluent. The result is conformity with the experimental data. Then how the inlet air velocity influence the heat flux is analyzed, and the optical velocity range of the inlet air is put forward. How the volume of the spray water influents the heat transfer is also discussed and the best range of the spray water velocity is also determined. In the end the relative humidity of the inlet air and the refrigerant temperature change along the pipe are analyzed.
