Kinematic viscosity and surface tension of refrigerants from surface light scattering.

Summary

Light scattering by thermally exited capillary waves on liquid surfaces or interfaces can be used for the investigation of visco-elastic properties of fluids. In this work the authors carried out the simultaneous determination of the surface tension and the kinematic viscosity of liquid refrigerants at saturation conditions by light scattering on a gas-liquid interface. The results are discussed in detail in comparison with literature data.
