Summary

LIPID OXIDATION PREFERENTLY OCCURS IN SKIN. THE DIFFERENCES IN SENSITIVITY TO OXIDATION, OBSERVED BETWEEN TISSUES, DEPEND ON THE SENSITIVITY OF EXTRACTABLE LIPIDS TO THIS DETERIORATION. IT IS POSSIBLE TO PREDICT STABILITY WITH RESPECT TO OXIDATION, DURING STORAGE, BY MEASURING THE TBA INDEX OF A SAMPLE INCUBATED AT 333 K (60 DEG C) FOR 2 HRS. (Bull. bibliogr.
