Liquefaction of gases: separation of the constituents of air using distillation.
Liquéfaction des gaz : séparation des constituants de l'air par distillation.
Author(s) : PILATTE A.
Type of article: Article
Summary
This paper discusses a few basic data on the minimum amount of work required in order to produce cryogenic products and the minimum amount of work needed in order to separate a mixture into its constituents and the separation of air gases using distillation. The example provided is that of Air Liquide's plant in Baudour that produces nitrogen, oxygen and argon.
