Summary
LNG shipments increased in 1994 by 8.8%, the largest in 35 years. Increases were 2,8% to Europe, 10.7% to the Far East, but shipments to the USA fell. The world's 78-vessel fleet totalled 1,619 voyages. 23 more ships are currently being built or are on order. Details are given of the types of containment system used, the liquefaction terminals involved and the owners of the latest ships delivered. D.W.H.
