A MECHANICALLY STABLE WORKING THERMOMETER MADE OF GLASS-INSULATED INDIUM MICROWIRE IS DESCRIBED. ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE AT 300 K IS ABOUT 500 OHMS. THE SENSITIVITY IS 22%/K AT T = 10 K. THE MEASUREMENT RANGE IS 3.4 TO 300 K. THE THERMOMETER IS 2.6 MILLIMETERS IN DIAMETER AND 12 MILLIMETER LONG.
