Summary

THE DEPENDENCE OF THE CRITICAL CURRENT ON EXTERNAL MAGNETIC FIELD STRENGTH OF A DISORDERED JOSEPHSON JUNCTION IS CALCULATED. IT IS SHOWN THAT EVEN FOR LARGE AREA JUNCTIONS THE CRITICAL CURRENT IN STRONG MAGNETIC FIELDS MAY STRONGLY DIFFER FROM THE USUAL < FRAUNHOFER > DEPENDENCE. CHARACTERISTIC RANDOM OSCILLATIONS WITH AMPLITUDES OF THE ORDER OF THE QUANTITY ITSELF SHOULD APPEAR IN THE I (H) DEPENDENCE. THIS < MESOSCOPIC > BEHAVIOR CAN BE ASCRIBED TO COMPENSATION OF THE OPTIMAL FLUCTUATION CURRENTS IN MOST OF THE SPECIMEN. THE REGION OF EXISTENCE OF THE EFFECT IS FOUND.
