Summary

THE MAGNETIZATION CURVES OF PURE NIOBIUM ARE MEASURED BY MEANS OF A VIBRATIONAL MAGNETOMETER. IT IS SHOWN THAT ABSOLUTELY PURE NIOBIUM IS A SUPERCONDUCTOR OF THE SECOND KIND. THE TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCE OF THE EQUILIBRIUM INDUCTION AND THE VALUE OF THE FIRST CRITICAL FIELD ARE IN AGREEMENT WITH THE THEORETICAL VALUES, AND ON DECREASE OF THE TEMPERATURE BELOW THE CRITICAL.
