Summary
In the operation of forced draught cooling towers non-uniformity of sprinkling in the cross-section area and non-uniformity of air velocity field are observed. The authors of the paper attempt to answer the question: what is the effect of those disturbances on the cooling towers thermal efficiency. The authors establish and discuss the equation that determines the thermal efficiency of a device operating under the condition of disturbed fields.
