Measurement of the efficiency of filters.
Mesure de l'efficacité des filtres.
Author(s) : GUSTAVSSON J., RAULT J.-Y.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The advantage of the new EUROVENT 4/9 method is the use of a material which enables what happens under actual service conditions to be determined. But EUROVENT 4/9 (and, even less, the preceding methods) does not always give significant values which can be extrapolated to give the "in situ" behaviour of filters. Amendments of initial texts are scheduled in order to take into account the fact that the standardized test dust does not represent the atmospheric aerosol and that the latter neutralises electrostatic effects added to certain filters, reducing sharply their actual operating efficiency.
