Summary

Recently, it is a crucial issue how to measure the thermal conductivity of nanofluids precisely in nanofluids research field because measurement data for the thermal conductivity reported by many researchers have wide deviation although the same nanofluids are used. In this paper, the key factors such as linear region, linearity and resistance at zero temperature which have effects on measurement values for thermal conductivity are systematically reported. Also measurement procedure is suggested based on the results. Finally, the authors presented the thermal conductivity of the Al2O3 nanofluids at 2 and 4% according to the procedure within 1.5% uncertainty.
