Measurements of PVTx properties and saturation properties for the binary R32-R143a system.

Author(s) : MIZOTE A., WATANABE K.

Summary

The PVTx properties have been measured by a constant-mass method coupled with expansion procedures. One hundred thirty-six PVTx property data of the binary R32-R143a system were measured in a range of temperatures from 303 to 400 K, pressures from 1.7 to 4.5 MPa, densities from 76 to 139 kg/m-3, and of compositions of 25, 50, and 75 mol% R32. Experimental uncertainties estimated to be within 7.2 mK in temperature, 3.0 kPa in pressure, 0.090 kg-m-3 in density, and 0.040 mol% in composition. Eight saturated-vapour densities and dew-point pressures were determined in the vicinity of the saturation boundary. A truncated virial equation of state for the gaseous phase of the binary R32-R143a system was also developed.
