Microgravity: coil configurations creating an uniform force field.

Author(s) : VINCENT-VIRY O., MAILFERT A., COLTEU A., et al.

Summary

This paper presents two structures of superconducting coils that can offer satisfactory solutions to the problem of generating a uniform field of magnetic forces. These structures are modelled by the use of purely surfacing current densities, considered as ideal structures. This work is carried out in a research collaboration between the GREEN and the DSM-DAPNIA department of the CEA Saclay.
