Summary
The main source of microorganisms in hospitals is man, through desquamation and airborne dissemination of rhinopharyngeal droplets. The mechanisms of air dissemination of various contaminants should therefore be well controlled in order to provide hygiene levels that are compatible with the care given to the patients.
