Summary

THE TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCE OF THE MICROWAVE RESISTANCE ROF A CERAMICS AT A FREQUENCY OF 17.6 GIGAHERTZ IS MEASURED WITH A CAVITY MADE EXCLUSIVELY OF YBCO. AN EMPIRICAL FORMULA IS PROPOSED WHICH DESCRIBES SATISFACTORILY THE R(T) DEPENDENCE BELOW THE SUPERCONDUCTING TRANSITION TEMPERATURE. IT IS SHOWN THAT THE STRONG DEPENDENCES R(T) OBSERVED AT TEMPERATURES LOWER THAN CRITICAL TEMPERATURE ARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MEASUREMENTS OF THE PENETRATION DEPTH. THE MICROWAVE RESISTANCES OF CERAMIC DISKS PREPARED AND TREATED IN DIFFERENT MANNERS ARE COMPARED AT HELIUM TEMPERATURE.
