Summary
The paper describes a theoretical analysis of an air cooling system by earth tube heat exchanger. The authors use an analytical approach "bidimensional by slices" in unsteady state assuming the ground is isotrope and homogeneous. The simulation is performed with a timestep of one hour with meteorological data. Results are compared with a numerical model already checked. Agreement is quite good. The authors' simplified model can be applied to any earth heat exchanger and the low CPU time allowed optimisation studies for long periods.
