Summary
AIR DEFROSTING IS COMMONLY USED IN POSITIVE TEMPERATURE DISPLAY CASES. THE OPTIMIZATION OF THE DURATION OF THE DEFROSTING CYCLE ALLOWS AVOIDING ABNORMAL TEMPERATURE RISE OF EXPOSED PRODUCTS WITHIN THE DISPLAY CASES. A MODEL TO BE USED ON A PC WAS ELABORATED. IT IS WRITTEN IN FORTRAN 77. NUMERICAL RESULTS OBTAINED WITH THIS MODEL AGREED WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS OBTAINED IN THREE DIFFERENT CASES.
