COMPARISON OF BARE AND FINNED PIPE COILS IN FROZEN FISH STORAGE.

Author(s) : SAINSBURY G. F.

Summary

BARE PIPE COILS ARE PARTICULARLY ADAPTED TO THOSE STORAGES WHERE MANAGEMENT WANTS TO RETAIN A FLEXIBLE STACKING PATTERN IN SMALL OR MEDIUM SIZED PLANTS. THEY ARE ALSO WELL SUITED TO STORAGES WHERE THERE IS SOME SEASON OF THE YEAR WHEN A ROOM OR ROOMS WILL BE NEARLY EMPTY -SO DEFROSTING MAY BE FACILITATED. FINNED COILS FIND THEIR BEST USE IN LARGE ROOMS THAT ARE LARGELY RACK STORAGE, WHERE LOCATION OF COILS AND RACKS CAN BE DETERMINED IN ADVANCE.
