Modelling of area-constrained ice storage tanks.

Author(s) : DREES K. H., BRAUN J. E.

Type of article: Article

Summary

A model was used to study the effect of assumptions and operating conditions on tank performance during charging and discharging. Results of the model were compared with experimental data. The average difference between the predicted and experimental heat-transfer rates during charging was about 6%, while the average difference during discharge was less than 3%.
