Summary
Based on the surface-renewal theory, a model was developed that shows the relation between the heat and mass transfer of a turbulent vapour-liquid phase boundary, and the near-surface turbulence of the liquid phase. This relation differs from those found in the literature in that it covers the entire range of turbulence Reynolds numbers.
